care

So I was in town again, where else was I supposed to go first anyway? She always said time fix things, so I though six mouths was enough time. That's plenty of time! She was looking younger then ever, except for her eyes. She saw me coming in and didn't say a thing. I felt like she was sort of.. waiting for me. But then I realized she was too numb to be surprised about anything.

Yeah, there really wasn't anything inside her head then. She was barely delusional, although she wished she was delusional because at least there would be something interesting to remember one day. But no. It was just emptiness. Eugene used to call it natural dope.

She couldn't stand being at work any longer than she had that day, and she wasn't being very productive anyway.

careful

Things were finally getting in their ways. I came home from work a little earlier, but I went straight to the computer right away. Life sucks

careful with that ex, eugene

Eugene didn’t think he was gonna find her sane enough to live without him. He was right. She needed his energy, as he needed her calm and boredom. And so it was, for ten years. But now, everything was pure dope. Natural dope, the one that comes within years of waste. He didn’t know what that meant, but he felt it the minute he saw her there, wearing her suit and with eyes red from the computer.

They went out for a coffee, ‘cause there wasn’t any in the apartment. She didn’t take coffee, though. “Bad stomach”, Eugene reminded. “Yes.”And that was it. That was enough for her to remember he knew every inch of her body, he knew her entire self both physically and spiritually. She ran away like a scared little girl, as he finished his coffee.
